Off from work today

Today I took my youngest child to school for his first day of kindergarten!  Gosh where did the time go?  The moment was bittersweet, because while I’m excited that his brain will be flooded with awesome learning opportunities, I’m also reminded that he’s growing up and is no longer a baby.  I’m actually wondering which I am more excited about, hearing about his first day of school or for the release of my novel.  (See my welcome here: )  This has already been such an exciting month, I don’t know if I’ll be able to get through it without having an anxiety attack.  I’m getting older, my body can’t handle all this excitement like it used to.  ; )

My birthday is also this month and I’d have to say that I’m not so much looking forward to that as I am remembering my Grandpa and Grandma who’s birthdays would have also been this month.  I love them very much and am sure that they are somewhere in the heavens looking down on me and smiling.  In short I’d have to say that I love life, love God and am thankful for all the gifts that he’s bestowed upon me.  Sure the road was tough getting here, but I am thankful for every painful footstep I’ve taken, because had I not taken it, I wouldn’t be the woman that I am today.

Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value. -Albert Einstein
