Weekend Writing Warriors #8SUNDAY, Writers check us out and join!!! :)

Good morning friends!  Well this week has been a lot of fun thus far.  Yesterday I chaperoned for my youngest’s kindergarten’s class field trip to Brookfield Zoo.  What fun he had and how exhausted I am!!!  In spite of this, I’m off to Six Flags Great America today, where we’ll be checking out a new show and then acting as driver for my daughter and her friends as we head off to the mall!  Yikes!!!  The good news is tomorrow (Sunday) I get to read all of your great snippets!!!!!

And now we’ll get back to Esperanza….  (Also just for reminders, Liliana and Antonio raised Esperanza as their own and Esperanza found out when she was 14 that Liliana was actually her sister.)

Antonio carried Micah’s car seat out of the airport, in spite of the fact that it snapped into the stroller I was pushing.  He hadn’t known what to say as he watched my sister silently bend down and greet the baby and knew that I needed to  ask her for advice, but rather than either of us saying a thing, we walked through the airport in complete silence.

As we sat silently in the limousine that would take us back to my parent house, I turned to Liliana.

“Mom, say something!”  I exclaimed as the limo pulled off.

My sister turned to look at Antonio and then down at the baby.

“He’s beautiful Pera,”  My sister said quickly before turning to me.  “I really don’t know what to say besides that.  I realize that we have a lot of talking to do and can’t even begin to imagine the mess that you’ve gotten yourself into.”

  2. Wow, they do have a LOT to talk about! Have fun today- we drove past Six Flags last night on our way to Wisconsin. 🙂

  3. Neva, you remind me of me as a young mom in Chicago running around with the kids. Your story continues to intrigue me.

They DO have a lot to talk about. Sounds like the drama and tension is mounting! I noticed a typo in the third sentence (should be parent’s house, instead of parent house). Sounds like you are having an exciting and busy weekend!

  5. She is in a complicated situation all right. I like the sister’s tone…

Having a lot to talk about is true. Though, I have to say, her sister’s judgmental (even if she might agree) tone doesn’t bode well for the near future.

  7. I’m not really sure I like her sister/mom, she seems to judge her for her action when she doesn’t seem to be better herself.

She has made some interesting choices, but they’ll work it out, Probably.

Lilianna seems to be very judgemental ~ “can’t even begin to imagine the mess that you’ve gotten yourself into.” Interesting to see how this all plays out.
