I’m traveling this week, well just a few short miles from home. Believe it or not I’m writing this from a phone. I lost a lot of the punctuation and I think my links aren’t working, but I will fix those tomorrow morning as soon as I get home.
Technology is unbelievable. In Chicago land we are preparing for a snowstorm. Hopefully it’s not too bad.
Last week we left with Liliana in labor, next we’ll jump ahead I promise. For now, let’s stop in and see what’s happening.

“It’s a boy!” The doctor said.
Everyone cheered in excitement, but I felt no joy. I felt like a creature was lying between my legs and couldn’t wait for them to move it. Elena wiped sweat from my forehead as she stood over me smiling. Antonio obstructed my view of her, putting his hideous face over me to get my attention.
”Don’t you want to see your baby?”Antonio asked.

Sorry for the late response. We got more snow then expected, it was nuts, caught the flu Sunday and had to work at the 911 center which is three minutes from my house normally-but it was a 30 minute ride home, including reving my car up the hill to get to my garage. 😦 It was bad. Hope it’s nice weather by you.

Wow, I get the feeling the only thing Antonio sees her as is a baby-factory, very impersonal. I really feel for Liliana. Great snippet.

Sorry I’m so late responding. I’m just making my rounds now also. Book two is very emotional this way. Book 3 is going to be very different also.

Has anyone else been having problems leaving comments on the blogspot sites? I get the “please prove you’re not a robot” check box for just a second before it vanishes, no matter how often I refresh.

I’ve been having that problem with every single blogspot blog, and haven’t figured out how to fix it on my end, yeah. But I think it’s not a problem everyone is having.

Book two is nuts. There’s a lot going on there. Sorry I’m so late in responding I caught the flu Sunday and had to work, it was bad!!! Snowdrifts waist high, was absolutely horrible.

Ugh. Just ugh. I need to make sure I don’t go on a side rant here about men assuming anything about women and their desire to procreate. Or for women to assume anything about other women for that matter.

Hi Elaine, yes Liliana is a story of struggle. This is from book 2, in book 3, I’m going to really show her as growing in terms of strength.
