Hello friends. I’m so excited to read what everyone wrote this weekend. I’m such a nerd, but you make my weekends. 🙂 I love spending my Saturday nights preparing my posts (seriously) Today was a long day and the weather is warm in Chicago-land-> meaning above freezing. We are currently above 38, which is exciting in January. Spring is almost here! Can you imagine the imaginary back-flips that I have been doing?
Oh really quick, check this out:
It’s a paper copy of my column. So exciting!!! You can check any of my future columns out in Reflejos Newspaper and they “up’d” me from bi-weekly to weekly. Yay, Here’s the link.
Now let’s get down to business and see what’s going on in this scene that I’ve been sharing with you, I think I’m going to skip ahead next week to get you more of the story.

“You heard me Lilly.” Antonio said, “I think it’s best if you go, before you create any more embarrassment for my family.”
“Embarrassment?” I asked.
Antonio wasn’t listening. Instead he was going through the bag and pulling out clothes that I instantly recognized as the clothes that I had left my fathers house with before we were married. My bottom lip began to quiver. He threw me my old house robe, but I didn’t reach out to catch in time and it and it landed at my feet.

And that’s it. I hope you enjoyed it. Visit my Weekend Writing Warrior friends here.

Well, you’ve really set up a bad situation for poor Lilly. I hope she can get through to Antonio very soon. Congratulations on your column promotion- how exciting!

Way cool with your column and promo, girl! As for the snippet, it makes me want to do evil things to Antonio.

He is such a crazy, selfish, s.o.b.! I wish she had the courage to go back to the USA… I never imagined the story would take this nasty of a turn. Poor Liliana…

Congrats on the column, Neva!
Poor Lilly. She deserves better than that.

So happy for you that the column went weekly already! I felt sorry for your heroine in today’s scene, so uncomfortable ( but that’s because you depicted it so well). Excellent 8!

First off, congrats not only on your column, but on being made a weekly columnist! That’s great! Congratulations!
This was a great 8. It’s very intriguing. The emotions are palpable; the scene played out perfectly in my mind. It leaves me wanting more. Very well done!

Would it be terribly rude of me to call Antonio a world-class B***tard? Wow, I really do feel for Liliana, but it does sound like she would be better off without him. Great snippet.
