Weekend Writing Warriors Post

Hello new friends.  I have to tell you how excited I am to be a part of this group!  Thank you Charmaine Gordon for inviting me.  This piece is from a book that I have begun writing and temporarily set aside so that I can finish up with the third book of my “Liliana” series.  Let me know what you think of it.  Is it something that you would be interested in reading?

Confusion set in and I realized that I was looking at my own attic.  I recognized it, but how could everything look so different with just one footstep?  The floor of the attic was clean, as if it had just been scrubbed.  It changed from a deep mahogany color on my side to newly finished pine color on the other side.  Suddenly I heard muffled voices coming from downstairs and the door to the attic stairway swung open.  Someone gasped.

“Mama, she’s here.”  A girl’s voice said.

  3. A touch spooky and quite wonderful. I’ll need a lot more to find out what’s going on. Sign up tomorrow for next week WEWRIWA. You reminded me this past week. Super good writing with descriptions to make the eight come alive.

I just love secrets in the attic. I’m intrigued!

One question as a WeWriWa mod. Is that our linksy list on the bottom of your post? It starts out the same but then goes different. Is there a way to update the code? This way if you show the list rather than a a link to our site, all the names show. Oh, and welcome to the group!

  9. Hi guys, thank you so much for the warm welcomes. It’s actually not time travel, but something new and completely different. 😉 It’s from a fantasy-paranormal book I’m working on. By the way. I’m sorry I’m responding so late in the day, my stepson was visiting. What an exhausting weekend!

It it’s not time travel, it’s some kind of alternate dimension, or something equally strange. Sounds intriguing!
