Thought of the day

I listen to this morning radio show every morning and there is a segment that comes on that I really enjoy.  The segment is called “Second Date Update” and it can be really funny at times, because it really highlights all the things that people do wrong on their first date.  The radio show basically calls back the party that has been avoiding the other parties calls.  Sometimes the caller still has no idea why the first party doesn’t want to go on a second date with them even after they call them.  Does this make sense?  Well let me fill you in.

In listening to this radio show it is apparent that people typically will avoid the other person involved in their first date if they ask them to go on a weekend getaway with them as a second date.  Does this seem odd to you?  People do it, I had no idea.  I would avoid someone also if they asked me on a second date to somewhere that involved a hotel.  Good thing I am happily married.  The dating world seems really crazy right now.  Another call involved a caller who went on a date with someone who wouldn’t stop talking about themselves throughout the date.  When the person finally took a moment to ask the first party a little about themselves, they went on to belittle everything that they said.  Typically not a good idea folks.  Amazing that the caller didn’t even realize that he did that and went on to belittle the poor girl on the radio.

At the end of the call the radio show asks if they would like to go out on a second date.  Sometimes the hosts will point out how there was a possible misunderstanding between the two parties.  Other times the hosts agree that there should be no second date.  Hopefully those callers noticed their flaws and are working toward improving them before they go on a second date or a date with someone else.  Enjoy your day!
