Hi friends!!!! I’m having one of those very down days, where life just doesn’t make sense. Don’t you hate it when that happens? Anyhow I know I’ll get through it, going to do some major praying tonight.—On the plus side, the new job has been going well. I’ve been working tons of hours and am really looking forward to my next check.
Enough of me, here’s the snippet. Props to Teresa Cypher for figuring out who the characters were last week. 🙂 They are the children of Liliana-grown up. Some of the children, you may not have met yet, because they’ll be introduced in the third book in the Liliana series. That book will be coming out by the end of May. 🙂 I’m toying with the idea of continuing the story through the children. Hmm, let me know what you think… Now for the drama.

My heart beat out of control as I rummaged through my mothers desk, glancing over my shoulder every few moments to make sure no one knew I was in her study. Finally I found what I was looking for and sat completely still for at least five minutes as the piece of paper shook in my hand.
“What are you in here doing?” My father said suddenly.
I slowly turned to stare at him, my bottom lip beginning to quiver.
“Daddy,” I said slowly. “You’re not my dad.”
My father let out a deep sigh, glancing back into the hallway before taking a step into the room to console me.

What a serious revelation for a daughter to have, I love the way her “daddy” handled it. Well done.
Hope this week is a little better for you.

Oh wow, that makes so much sense! And I love it when a series continues with a second generation. I’m about to do that myself.
Hope things look up for you this week.

All that effort, and then forgetting to be careful when she found what she wanted! But she needed to talk to him, anyway, right?

Cool stuff–a scene fraught with emotion.
I hope next week is better for you. For me, too, actually. I buried my brother-in-law, had three teeth extracted, had my car break down, and learned I need more physical therapy on my back. But this too shall pass.
